Ozora 2011 and new album
Just a small update about what´s happening in the Circular camp these days. We are now concentrating on putting together some new tracks for Ozora 2011 in August – as well as some new tracks for our forthcoming album. We already have the majority of our new album finished, but we always have a burst of creative energy before live events, so it´s quite probable that new tracks will emerge that also will be suitable for the album. Looking forward to seeing you at Ozora. Masses of warm reverbs and lush delays to you all. Take care!
Circular on Fahrenheit Project Part 7 (Ultimae)
We are delighted to let you know that a new Circular track is featured on the compilation Fahrenheit Project Part 7. The album will be out this month (May 2011) and we hope you guys out there will enjoy it! Other artists featured on the compilation are:
Asura, Solar Fields, Scann-Tec, Field Rotation, Maurizio Piazza, Hol Baumann remixed by Max Million and talented newcomers to the Ultimae realm, Cygna, Gaiana and Astropilot.
The track is somewhat special to us with a unique sample of the Norwegian poet, Rolf Jacobsen, from his poem “Landskap med gravemaskiner” from the collection “Hemmelig Liv” (1954). We extend our warmest thanks to his son for allowing us to use excerpts from the magnificent poem.
Nuit Hypnotique #4 2011
Back again from Nuit Hypnotique #4 after having spent two terrific days with our Ultimae family! The event was moved this year to the city of Mulhouse, France and took place in the national concert hall “La Filature”. We had prepared 90 minutes of downtempo ambient with an emphasis on more chilled tracks accompanied by our very own “Norway by helicopter” video. The room was packed with people and we extend a big thank-you to all of you guys who showed up. Thanks for spending your time with us. We had a great time!

We wish you all an incredible and outstanding New Year! Thanks for your support and care. It’s because of you we keep doing this. It’s because of you we think this is so fun! 2010 has been a great year for us. The highlight of the year was our live performance at the Ozora festival which was just terrific. The amount of response and feedback from you guys just propelled our enthusiasm sky high and we are delighted to be on the lineup for next year’s festival as well.
The first booked live gig we have in the new year is Nuit Hypnotique on the 12th of March. This will be a chill-based event consisting of more down-beat music and we are preparing several new tracks for this event. In addition we will show stunning aerial photography from Norway kindly provided to us by Fuglefjellet (please take a look at the Vimeo-clip below).

Ozora 2010 – A Kick!
Just back home after a marvellous experience at the Ozora 2010 festival in Hungary. Playing our new material in front of a great audience turned out to be a major kick. Originally we had planned all the tracks in one seamless presentation, but we soon realised that we had to fade out the tracks in order to address the response and applause from the crowd.
Having tailored our set specifically for a live setting, it was really rewarding to see the reactions and to get the confirmation that we had done things correctly. A fantastic inspirational boost with lots of energy! Thanks Ozora for a wonderful time!
New producer joins the team
The producer Frode Langhelle has joined the team of Circular. This is a dream come true for us. Frode has an extensive experience both as a sound designer and composer on commercial prodcutions for television and radio and his skills are already lifting us up to a new level of refinement. The results so far are nothing less than astonishing and we will be presenting our new sound on stage at the Ozora festival in August.
